If you know ANYTHING about me, you know I love animals. I take in strays. I get calls/messages often about injured critters. I AM that person who will probably die from petting something I really shouldn't. My grandmother used to say I'd give my last dime to help an animal before I'd help her (although that wasn't entirely true…)
So it's really no surprise that when the opportunity to be part of a super fun campaign to raise money for our local animal shelter popped up, I said "OH HELL YES, just give me that crown right meow…"
Animals are a VERY large part of my life. My grandmother was correct, in part -- I would rather give my last dime to an animal, and I do. I always will.
It absolutely breaks my heart how many animals end up in shelters, scared and confused by the sounds and smells they don't recognize. The countless animals that cower and collect behind shopping malls and in our woods, then die in the cold months because they have nowhere to go. Because someone didn't love them.
I am one of the people who loves them. And thank goodness I'm not alone! The staff + volunteers at the Worcester County Humane Society love animals just as much as me, and they work DAILY to make a difference in our community -- spaying/neutering animals, adopting dogs + cats of all ages, socializing scared animals, calming surrendered pets, etc.
Please help me help our Worcester County Humane Society! Your donation will not only get me closer to my goal of Mardi Paw Queen, but it will help cover food costs, medicine and spay and neuters, among other everyday expenses.
